I am the best in the world (6): The Shura Field that everyone loves to see (laughs)

This was quite awkward.

Just a moment ago, they had a falling out with Si Qi, and now they had to rely on Si Qi’s abilities to escape.

Even Si Wu couldn’t shout “Brothers, follow me!” at this moment and then lead everyone to their doom.

The experts probably wouldn’t agree either.

Si Qi took pleasure in observing their frustrated expressions for a long time, and only after a while did he say to Chu Feng, “Flatten the mound over there.”

Chufeng followed the instructions and the mechanism in front of him instantly disappeared.

The experts watched all this with cold faces, and only then did they realize that everything they had seen over the years was an illusion. The cowardly and incompetent Si Qi was actually a cunning and exceptionally intelligent fellow.

He had always been toying with everyone, using various means to torment them. The so-called exquisite life was nothing but an excuse to make them unwillingly and humiliatingly follow his orders. In reality, he had always been secretly mocking everyone around him.

…But so what? No matter how clever a mortal was, they could still be killed with a single strike.

Trash is trash.

They gritted their teeth, constantly brainwashing themselves with such words.Their inner hatred for Si Qi grew stronger.

Everyone followed Si Qi, easily and smoothly passing through one checkpoint after another. Compared to the time when Si Wu was in the spotlight, this moment was like heaven and earth, the contrast so stark that each step felt like a silent slap in Si Wu’s face. People around him occasionally glanced at Si Wu with mocking eyes, making Si Wu’s face turn pale, but he couldn’t suddenly lash out and cause a scene with this group of people for no reason.

In just twenty minutes, a group of people successfully completed a journey that had taken over two hours before. They stood in front of a vast underground lake, in the pitch-black cave, the lake’s surface scattered with silvery glimmers, beautiful like a starry sea.

In the center of the lake was a small island, on which stood a gigantic gate. The door opened, and a layer of aura identical to the surrounding mountains adorned it.

“As long as we pass through this door, we can leave here, right?” someone said.

Si Wu had long had enough of this feeling of letting Si Qi take the spotlight, and directly said, “Go!”

A group of experts immediately followed closely behind Si Wu and rushed forward.

However, before they could reach the vicinity of the island in the lake, an invisible force violently bounced them back, and they fell into the lake in a sorry state.

The magic warriors at the back, seeing this, instinctively slowed down their movements halfway through, but there were still some who reacted slowly and crashed straight into the barrier.

Just as they were about to be bounced back, their bodies instinctively assumed a defensive posture, but the expected impact never came. Instead, they landed smoothly and without obstruction on the small island.

They looked up in astonishment, completely at a loss.

“How is this possible?!” Si Wu roared in disbelief, watching as more and more magic warriors passed through. Some were stopped, but others passed through effortlessly.

People quickly noticed the difference.

Those who were stopped were all the ones who had been busy with Si Wu all night and were covered in injuries.

The magic warriors who were unscathed and had been watching the show the whole time, however, all made it to the small island without exception.

Si Qi, being carried by Chu Feng, walked to the door and exchanged glances with Si Wu and the others, who were standing in the lake with puzzled and uncertain expressions.

This group of people seemed to have a lot of questions they wanted to ask, but Si Qi didn’t explain anything. He gave a malicious smile, gestured for Chu Feng to enter the gate, and soon their figures disappeared.

Seeing this, the people around quickly followed, then the third and fourth.

“Why?!” Si Wu angrily pounded on the invisible barrier with his fists, but no matter what, he couldn’t reach the place that was so close yet so far.

The magic warriors left behind murmured, “Could it be because our method of breaking the barrier is wrong?”

“The difference between me and those people is the scars on my body, and… that flower.”

The thought had just flashed through his mind, and he hadn’t even had time to say it. In a fit of rage, Si Wu swung his giant sword and decapitated the guy who had once been his close companion, his expression twisted and terrifying: “You want to say it’s my fault, right? Huh? You think I’m ridiculous, don’t you?!”

His frenzied appearance was truly terrifying. The blood gushing from the severed neck splattered all over the faces of the demon warriors, who were horrified and immediately fled without a word.

But they were quickly slaughtered one by one by the surrounding experts, and the bright red blood stained the silver lake with a faint brown hue.

The experts comforted Si Wu, whose eyes were filled with bloodshot, saying, “Young master, you don’t need to pay attention to the nonsense of such lowly people.”

Si Wu glared at him, saying nothing, his cold and fierce expression reminiscent of when he witnessed his biological brother being eaten alive by monsters.

This was his true nature.

The expert explained, “Like those people, I followed Si Qi all the way before and didn’t make a move. But the barrier also kept us out.”

“……” Si Wu calmed down and said with an unfriendly tone, “Could it be anything other than the wrong method of breaking the barrier?”

The expert quickly replied, “It’s the flower.”

Si Wu recalled that each of those people had a flower pinned to their waist when they left, and he suddenly understood.

He frowned and questioned, “Where are your flowers?”

Everyone else had them, so why didn’t these people?

The experts awkwardly said, “We thought Si Qi just liked the flowers, so we didn’t indulge him in his antics…”

Si Wu interrupted their explanation with displeasure, his tone full of annoyance, “So, where did those flowers come from?”

The experts felt even more embarrassed, “The entrance to the trial ground…”

Si Wu could no longer hold back and shouted angrily, “So, in order to pass through this door, I have to go through the entire trial ground all over again?!”

The experts, unable to find the words to respond, awkwardly said, “Yes… and Si Qi might have anticipated that we would end up like this. He never explained the methods to overcome those challenges, so when we go back… we might have to figure out some of the challenges on our own again…”

The anger surged uncontrollably, and Si Wu almost fainted from rage.

He shouted hoarsely, “Do you remember the route on that invisible path on the cliff? When closing the mechanical puppets, Si Qi pressed hundreds of buttons with his back to us. Can you replicate that? Exploration, what exploration?!”

Everyone lowered their heads, not daring to answer. The scene was dead silent except for Si Wu’s furious breathing.

At this moment, they truly hoped Si Qi would appear again to help them solve those troubles.

Otherwise, if they followed Si Wu’s orders to brute-force their way through the levels, who knew how many more would die…

Si Qi laughed uncontrollably in Chu Feng’s embrace.

“Hahaha, this group of muscle-brained fools, now they’re all dumbfounded, huh? Should’ve read more books when they had the chance!”

They had clearly arrived at the secret realm left by the Holy Realm expert, yet they didn’t even bother to learn about the person’s deeds during their lifetime.

The books had clearly stated that the Holy Realm expert’s wife loved the stars and the sea very much. So, the then-weak Holy Realm expert risked his life to venture into the deepest part of the Abyss to pick a Silver Star Flower and gave it to the person he loved, which was how he won her over.

From then on, the family crest of this Holy realm’s powerful figure would be the Silver Star.

And just now, the overall atmosphere of the cave was like a night with a starry sky, and coincidentally, so many Silver Star flowers appeared by the roadside, clearly hinting at something.

Sure enough, at the final moment, it was indeed used.

No one would want the person inheriting their belongings to be someone who knew nothing about them, had no interest in their life, and showed no respect for their family.

So the master of the secret realm deliberately tormented people all the way and then at the last moment ruthlessly shut them out, silently mocking these impolite fellows, saying, “You people are not worthy of taking my legacy.”

Si Qi laughed and said, “The origin of the Silver Star Flower is so romantic, yet it is unknown in this world. I really don’t know whether to feel sad or to laugh.”

He looked at Chu Feng, with a sly smile: “You know very well that giving the Silver Star Flower to someone is a confession, yet you still gave it to me. Isn’t this…”

Chu Han coldly replied, “No.”

“Hmph, boring.” Si Qi pouted, “Looks like I really have to cast the love spell on you.”

He leaned close to Chu Feng’s ear and said, “I’ll secretly tell you the spell, so listen carefully…”

Chu Feng clearly didn’t want this, but he couldn’t help but be concerned about the warm breath constantly blowing into his ear.

Si Qi said each word clearly: “I, like, you~!”

Chu Feng’s body trembled slightly, and he tried hard to suppress any strange expression. His heart, however, thumped loudly, unable to calm down.

Irritated, he said, “What did you do to me?”

Si Qi replied with a grin, “A love spell~”

Chu Feng’s heart raced even more uncontrollably. After a while, realizing it still wouldn’t calm down, and thinking Si Qi really had this ability, he couldn’t help but angrily say, “Undo it quickly!”

Si Qi was surprised for a moment, then covered his mouth and chuckled.

“Not a chance~~”

The two of them chatted as they walked, flying through the wind and snow. The magic warriors following behind had a foggy view and couldn’t see far, but they knew that as long as they closely followed Chu Feng, they would always be able to accurately find the trial grounds covered by a deep blue halo among the thousands of mountains.

After about two tea times, Chu Feng finally arrived at the next trial ground. Following the spring-like mountain from earlier, this time the trial ground was a blazing summer.

As soon as Si Qi arrived at this place, he couldn’t stand the heat. Dressed in a heavy cloak, he sat in Chu Feng’s arms, taking off his clothes one by one, making the already flustered Chu Feng even more at a loss.

He didn’t dare to look forward, his arms wanted to move but didn’t dare to, and the boy kept rubbing against him in his arms. Even if he didn’t want to touch, he was forced to touch many places. The soft touch made his ears turn redder and redder, and his lips pressed together, his expression growing colder and colder, as if he wanted to throw the boy out directly.

Even more infuriating was that after the boy took off his clothes, he muttered softly, “Ah! I forgot I could just use a magic spell to cool down! No need to change clothes at all~”

After saying that, the boy sneakily glanced at Chu Feng with a mischievous look, anticipating his angry and embarrassed reaction.

Chu Feng maintained a stern face, not giving any excuse.

Si Qi, undeterred, hid in his arms, covering his mouth and laughing non-stop.

The many magic warriors who followed Si Qi arrived at this hot place, and soon they learned the content of this trial from other magic warriors who had arrived here earlier.

——Questioning the Heart.

If the previous trial tested one’s boldness, meticulous observation, and extensive knowledge, then this trial delved into deeper, more intrinsic aspects of the soul.

“There are nine hundred and ninety-nine steps here, each set of ninety-nine steps tests a person’s temperament. The higher you climb, the stronger the influence on your temperament. It is said that the highest person once reached the four hundredth step, and then suddenly went mad, took out a knife, and cut off his own head. His corpse is still up there. So no one knows what will be tested after greed, lust, and anger.”

People whispered to each other, and Chu Feng walked to the foot of the ladder, confirming that the stone steps were smooth and even, so they wouldn’t harm the boy, and gently placed him down.

They walked side by side on the heavenly ladder, the first ninety-nine steps of the greedy ladder nothing unusual, calm as if they were walking on an ordinary staircase.

When they reached the hundredth step, the boy suddenly whispered to him, “Actually, I’m very scared.”

Chu Feng paused slightly.

“My parents were in a political marriage; they never loved each other. The families on both sides maintained their interests because of me; I was just a talisman between them. Ever since I was discovered to be a mortal, all the warmth in the world has left me. I don’t know the meaning of love.”

The boy cautiously looked at him, gently holding his hand: “Maybe you think my love for you is a joke, but it’s not. I’m just too scared. I’m afraid my feelings will be rejected. If all this love could be expressed in joking words, then even if I were rejected, I could still be with you…”

The boy looked at him with longing, extending his fair hand, trying to touch his face, “I know you have feelings for me too, right?”

Slap—

Chu Feng coldly slapped the boy’s hand away and said calmly, “You are not him.”

The boy was astonished.

“He would never be afraid.”

Confidence, flamboyance, and mischief like a little demon were his true nature.

“He would never shy away from pursuing love.”

He could easily utter those heartfelt words, and his gaze towards Chu Feng was always filled with profound and passionate affection. Chu Feng could clearly distinguish between sincerity and lies; otherwise, how could he have fallen so quickly and hopelessly, compromising with the boy time and time again?

Chu Feng glanced at him coldly and walked forward without hesitation. After he left, the illusion beside him dissipated with the wind. Soon, the boy’s figure appeared ahead, slowly making his way up the stairs.

The hundreds of stairs made the boy feel exhausted. Upon seeing Chu Feng, he revealed a familiar smile, “You finally came. I’m a bit tired from walking. Can you help me?”

The boy extended his hands, and Chu Feng instinctively picked him up.

The boy was not heavy, and compared to other magic warriors of his age, he was even too thin. At the same time, he was very soft, like a clingy kitten, making one just want to hold him tightly for a long time and feel the other’s dependence on oneself.

As the number of stairs increased, the boy’s trials seemed to become more and more unbearable. His gaze gradually became hazy, his eyes slowly losing focus, and his pink lips whispered deadly words, making it increasingly difficult for Chu Feng to cope.

“Chu Feng… Chu Feng…”

The once easy embrace became more and more tormenting, to the point where it was hard to lift his feet and continue. The boy opened his weak, boneless arms, entwining around Chu Feng’s neck like a snake, his warm lips pressed against his ear, the scorching breath seeming to burn through one’s bones.

“Kiss me, hug me, let me have all of you, okay…”

[Master, the footsteps of the Lord God have stopped again.]

As an intelligent system, Xiu Xiu was not afraid of the so-called test of the heart. He sat in the consciousness space, munching on sunflower seeds with his little feet up, watching his master stand on the heavenly ladder with an embarrassed expression, surrounded by the Lord Gods who had the same appearance, aura, and status but different identities.

All the Lord Gods had identical gentle expressions, looking at Si Qi with the same sorrowful eyes of “even though you have others, I still love you,” as if Si Qi were some kind of heartless man.

Si Qi, who was inexplicably “caught in the act,” was utterly dumbfounded, while Xiu Xiu, who was witnessing the once-in-a-lifetime scene, couldn’t help but exclaim how thrilling it was, wishing he could record it with a camera.

At that moment, Xiu Xiu noticed that the true Lord God not far away had stopped walking, so he live-streamed the scene to Si Qi.

Si Qi, both amused and exasperated, sent away Lover N, walked over to Chu Feng, snapped his fingers, and said with a smile, “What did you see? Your footsteps have stopped.”

——What did you see? Your steps have stopped.

Being teased by the boy to the point of his limbs stiffening and unable to move, and nearly losing control of his emotions, Chu Feng’s body suddenly jolted, a chill surging up his spine.

He instantly realized that the boy in front of him, who appeared to be infatuated, was actually a fake.

The moment he realized this, the boy in his arms disappeared, replaced by Si Qi standing in front of him, his eyes clear and slightly mischievous.

Si Qi teased, “Hmm? Tell me, what did you see? Was it me?”

Chu Fen kept a straight face and remained silent, feeling parched in front of the smiling boy.

He had almost been ensnared just now.

Si Qi deliberately leaned in closer, blowing a breath of air onto Chu Feng’s face. It was completely non-threatening, yet it made the usually unyielding Chu Feng’s eyes dart away.

“Oh, still not daring to look me in the eye? Did you do something bad just now and now you’re too embarrassed to face me?”

“Let me guess~” Si Qi chuckled, “Did you secretly hold my hand in the illusion? Or do you want to kiss me? Hmm? I didn’t know you were so bold, just say you want to kiss~~”

Chu Feng recalled the scene from earlier and quickly walked a few steps up the stairs, trying to escape.

When his sleeve was pulled back by Si Qi, he blurted out a question that was quite hard to counter: “Are you real or fake?!”

He suspected he had seen the illusion once again.

Si Qi was taken aback, then realized what was happening and laughed so hard he could barely breathe, “Ha, haha… How can you be this cute… haha…”

So, Chu Feng was admitting he saw him in the Lust Illusion, right?

He was saying rejection with his mouth, but his heart was being very honest.

Chu Feng realized he had let it slip, his ears suddenly turned red, and for the first time in his life, he felt what it meant to be flushed and embarrassed, unable to speak.

Si Qi laughed so hard that tears came out, and he said to Chu Feng, “Don’t worry, I saw you in the illusion too~”

Chu Feng remained silent with a cold face. Si Qi teased, “But you really give me a headache. After all, there are so many people in the illusion, and you get jealous so easily. I had to spend time making you happy…”

Chu Feng’s face grew darker as he listened. He was a bit angry but didn’t know how to express his jealousy. He pressed his lips tightly together, turned his head away, and stood still for a while. Finally, he threw out a stiff “What does it have to do with me?” and walked away without looking back.

Seeing this, Si Qi laughed even more joyfully, standing in place with his hands cupped around his mouth, loudly calling out to Chu Feng, “But don’t worry! Even if there are more people appearing in the illusion, I only like you!”

“Hey! Chu Feng! Did you hear that?”

“Chu Feng!”

The boy’s voice echoed above the heavenly ladder. The sharp-eyed and sharp-eared magic warriors instinctively looked up, clearly seeing the boy’s figure, and began to discuss among themselves, “Hey, isn’t that the young master of the Si family?”

“The one walking in front of him is ‘Shen Feng’ right? The legendary figure who once killed an eighth-grade master with three strikes…”

“What is he saying he likes…?”

“Isn’t the young master of the Si family just an ordinary person?”

“How did he get to such a high position??”

“Has anyone seen the process clearly?”

A magic warrior who happened to witness the entire process said, “I saw it. When they walked past the Greed Steps, they moved easily and were not affected at all. But when it came to the Lust section, both of them stopped.”

Another magic warrior who had been defeated on the first few dozen steps disdainfully said, “Si Qi is a mortal. He doesn’t have the ‘Greed’ that we warriors need to become stronger, so he could walk past those steps! Ha, a blind cat stumbled upon a dead mouse, and he got lucky!”

“Yeah, if there wasn’t the greed to become stronger, how could one become a strong person? We can’t help it either.” The other magic warriors who had been defeated early on all tried to justify their failures, “This doesn’t mean we are inferior to mortals, it’s just that mortals have it too easy.”

One magic warrior standing not far away heard this and scoffed, “Then what about Senior Chu? His strength is sufficient, yet he hasn’t been affected by greed. Does that mean his life is also very easy?”

Someone else chimed in, “Although Si Qi is a mortal, the troubles mortals experience are only more numerous than ours. We only need to focus on becoming stronger, but they need to master knowledge in all areas and interact with all kinds of people. Not to mention, Si Qi is a mortal who has lived among magic warriors since childhood, surrounded by powerful beings who could easily kill him. The challenges he faces are only more numerous and difficult than ours. Do you understand?”

“Exactly, exactly!”

After hearing this, people around began to protest one after another, leaving the few who first spoke out against Si Qi a bit bewildered. They took a closer look at these people and noticed something was off: “Wait, why are you all wearing the same flower on your waist as Si Qi? Are you all in cahoots?”

“Uh…” The person who protested felt a bit awkward.

“We’re not in cahoots, but we just completed the trial with Si Qi’s help.”

Upon hearing that someone had completed a trial so quickly, the others were shocked and anxiously asked, “What happened?”

“Well, it goes like this…” The members of the Flower Squad eagerly recounted everything they had witnessed in the trial ground to the surrounding magic warriors. Their vivid and animated narration attracted quite a few onlookers.

Everyone followed these people’s perspectives and listened to the events that unfolded, captivated by the twists and turns of the story, leaving them all astonished.

“A tiger, no matter how fierce, won’t eat its own cubs. The Si family is truly ruthless…”

“I never expected Si Qi to have such abilities… If it were me, I probably wouldn’t last long in front of the Si family and would end up dead.”

“He must have been hiding his true abilities all along, right? He acted so convincingly that not only were we outsiders fooled, but even the experts of the Si family thought he was just a weak and incompetent mortal. That’s why he has managed to survive until now.”

“I used to think that Si Qi and Si Wu were worlds apart and that he was unworthy of the position of the Si family’s young master. But now, it seems I was completely wrong.”

“Yeah, Si Qi has lived in that environment for over a decade, so it’s no surprise that his mind is resilient. It’s no wonder he has reached such a high level…”

Everyone instinctively looked towards the ladder upon hearing the words. On the ladder, Si Qi and Chu Feng had completed the previous tests of greed and lust, and soon reached the 300th level of “anger.”

Si Qi wasn’t very sure if he could control his temper and not lose his cool.

This wasn’t a matter of whether his personality was fiery or not, but rather that he had been infused with too many memories of original owners, indirectly experiencing their lives.

Any one of the original owners’ tragic ends had involved a deep-seated grudge of killing and vengeance, a combination of injustice, tragedy, and hatred.

So much accumulated anger couldn’t be extinguished that easily.

Even now, Si Qi still gets haunted by those memories in his dreams and needs Xiu Xiu or Chu Feng to wake him up.

Si Qi thought for a moment and said, [Play the scenes of Chu Feng in my mind.]

Xiu Xiu didn’t understand, [Huh?]

Si Qi: [In every world, the scene of him saving me]

Xiu Xiu instantly understood.

Master was going to use the gentleness and love of the Lord God to extinguish all flames of anger!

Unlike Si Qi’s situation, this lifetime’s Chu Feng had a cold personality, and emotions and desires were nothing but fleeting illusions to him. If it weren’t for Si Qi’s sudden appearance, disrupting his mind, he might not have encountered any problems in the first three hundred levels.

With a clear mind, he could see very clearly that with each step the boy beside him took, his footsteps were as heavy as if they bore a thousand tons.

He saw all the pain, sorrow, and resentment of life on the boy’s face, but every time he couldn’t help but try to wake the boy up, to prevent him from wallowing in sadness, the boy would instantly and quickly come to his senses.

It was as if a flower on the verge of withering in the desert had experienced a rainstorm and regained its vibrant vitality. No matter how much pain had been endured, it could still ignite the courage to bravely face a new life.

The gaze that shifted from darkness to light was truly heart-stopping. Chu Feng couldn’t restrain his feelings for the young man, as if he couldn’t stop his own breathing. It was a human instinct, something that couldn’t be controlled by the mind.

Si Qi steadily walked up the ninety-nine steps, then smiled at the complex-faced Chu Feng beside him, saying, “I’m really curious about what the trial on the four-hundredth floor is.”

After speaking, he stepped onto the new stairs and saw a brand new illusion.

……

This was the node of countless planes, a place that even the strongest deities in the small worlds could not reach.

Countless small worlds revolve around the node, nurturing countless wondrous and powerful beings within them—Titans, Elves, Demons, Mermaids…

Having traversed through countless times and spaces, the dragon, who finally mastered the laws of the world, led its kin through trials more arduous than crossing dimensions, breaking through the barriers of the world, and arriving at the vast plane space.

They spent countless ages exploring the ends of the planes, generation after generation, never discouraged even when they found nothing.

Until one day, they finally discovered that the barrier separating countless universes and spanning myriad worlds was actually just the trunk of a tree!

Stimulated by this fact, the dragons became even more fervent. Generation after generation, they continuously explored the end of the trunk, traversing countless worlds and enduring numerous trials. At the end of the trunk, they reached the top of the tree.

The top of the tree was empty, but all the dragons could clearly sense that there lived an unseen “being” there.

They could sense that this presence was there, yet no matter what methods they used—hearing, smell, taste, perception—they could not confirm its exact location.

It was an “unknown” more elusive than concepts, rules, or space-time.

But one thing was certain.

This “unknown” was the supreme deity who governed countless worlds and dimensions; only it could use such an exaggerated World Tree as a resting place.

The dragons finally stopped their journey that had lasted for countless generations. They thrived at the top of the World Tree, just to be a little closer to that existence.

A thousand years, ten thousand years, a million years, a billion years… countless ages quietly passed by, and that existence remained in place, clearly visible yet unreachable.

One day, at the center of the top of the World Tree, in the hall the dragons had built for that existence, they suddenly saw a cute little golden dragon.

The little golden dragon, like all the other giant dragons, showed no outward differences, not even in the fluctuations of its life force. But it appeared out of nowhere, in the place where the deity had always existed, eyes gently closed, resting peacefully.

The giant dragons were overjoyed to tears; the long-held aspirations of countless generations of their ancestors had finally come to fruition in their generation! Their loyalty had touched the deity, who for the first time showed a willingness to interact with them, taking on a form they could see!

They looked at the innocent and adorable little deity, their hearts filled with a desire to communicate with it.

But gods are ultimately gods; their efforts received no response. The god remained as ethereal, pure, and powerful as ever, an existence beyond the comprehension of the dragons, no matter how much wisdom and ability they exerted. Occasionally, the god might open their eyes to glance at the surrounding dragons, but those glass-like eyes revealed no emotion, as if they could see through all things in the world yet cared for nothing, merely performing the simple act of blinking. In the eyes of the god, the dragons and a speck of dust outside the World Tree were no different.

The dragons did not lose heart; they continued to protect the little golden dragon, enduring the long years. They hoped that the deity would suddenly evolve again, just as before, and communicate with them on a deeper level.

But before they could wait for that day, a man with black hair and black eyes suddenly crossed time and space to arrive here.

He possessed the same aura as the deity, making the powerful dragons feel no courage to resist him.

They watched in fear as the man could directly pick up the incredibly precious little golden dragon with his hands, treating it as if it were a priceless treasure, gazing down at the innocent and adorable child.

The dragons tried to communicate with the other party, relieved that the other was not as unreachable as that deity and even spoke to them.

The man said he was an energy formed by the power of countless worlds, which, after eternal ages, gave birth to consciousness and was named the Supreme God. The little golden dragon was the first kindred he encountered after countless ages, and it crossed the node to this realm due to a sense of kinship.

If the golden dragon clan continued to accompany this newly awakened Supreme God, the Supreme God might still need endless ages to awaken its consciousness, or perhaps it would never awaken.

The man also had countless worlds to manage behind him, and he couldn’t stay here for long, so he decided to take the little Supreme God away instead of letting the little Supreme God fend for himself here.

The Golden Dragon Clan couldn’t resist this man, and they also knew that even if they continued to serve the little Supreme God, it wouldn’t help the little Supreme God at all.

Moreover, the man promised that he would keep the little Supreme God by his side and take good care of him until the little Supreme God awakened his will and fully mastered the power of the Supreme God, at which point he would return the little Supreme God.

So the dragons obediently allowed the man to take their deity away, while they stayed behind to continue guarding this realm for the deity.

Before the man left, the giant dragon asked him to take a branch from the World Tree as a keepsake for the deity. Otherwise, with the dragons’ abilities, they couldn’t even pluck a single leaf to send to the deity.

The man agreed. He took a branch from the World Tree and made a cradle for the little golden dragon to grow in. He then brought the little golden dragon back to his realm, where they lived together at the top of the time-space tower. In the blink of an eye, tens of thousands of years passed.

A mere moment for the supreme deity.

He never expected that in such a short time, the little one would learn to speak and seemed to understand so much.

Then, before he even had a chance to react, the other party suddenly said they didn’t want to continue like this and, holding onto a branch of the World Tree, left the top of the World Tower, entered the Quick-Travel Bureau, and moved into the staff dormitory to live.

Such a decisive and resolute attitude honestly made the man quite sad.

But as a fellow deity, an existence on par with him, he had no right to interfere with the other’s decisions. He could only secretly infuse his consciousness into countless small worlds, conveying the thought “You must protect the little one well” to those temporary vessels.

Then one day, he noticed that one of those consciousnesses was suddenly awakened by a surge of world power. He quickly projected his consciousness into that body. Subsequently, in the small world, he saw the lively and spirited little one he had never seen before…

He was very happy because he had never seen the little treasure he had cherished in his palm show such a lively and interesting side when facing others.

He quietly accompanied the little one, one world after another…

If he could, he wanted to watch over him forever, protect him, until he fully grew into a Supreme God, and then turn away once more…

……

Si Qi looked at the little golden dragon in front of him, who was just lazing around and doing nothing, feeling a bit embarrassed.

That was tens of thousands of years ago. Back then, he would lie in the cradle of the World Tree all day, eating and drinking, doing nothing at all. When he felt bored, he would go find Chu Feng to act cute and be adorable. It was truly mortifying.

And yet, Xiu Xiu was still there, shouting excitedly, her eyes sparkling with pink hearts, overjoyed: [Is this what the master looked like when he was little? Oh my god! So cute!!]

Si Qi was at a loss for words, feeling extremely embarrassed. He quickly quickened his pace to finish the ninety-nine steps of the staircase, and then the illusion in front of him disappeared. He asked Chu Feng, who had just arrived, “What was the content of this heart examination?”

After thinking for a moment, Chu Feng replied, “The truth.”

The magic warrior who had committed suicide after reaching the four-hundredth floor seemed to have seen the truth that he had always misunderstood and couldn’t bear the cruel reality, so he took his own life.

Si Qi was puzzled, “The truth? I didn’t understand any truth.”

He saw that after a long period of hazy and blank memories, he finally regained his senses, left his clan, and lived beside Chu Feng.

The other party unconditionally pampered him, fulfilling his every wish, and they lived together for tens of thousands of years.

After pondering for a long time, he still couldn’t figure out what “unnoticed truth” he had just seen.

Could it be that there was some hidden secret about his origins?

But it seemed that the previous memories didn’t explain anything…

TN: Double update. Merry Christmas!
