My Live Broadcast Room Can Teach You Everything (8):

In the worlds Si Qi had visited, there was one where he made his fortune solely by creating games.

That game was a fully open holographic game, set in a future a thousand years ahead in that world. Everything in it was filled with a sense of science fiction, and once released it immediately caught the attention of countless players.

But the game’s upgrade system was extremely difficult. Whether piloting spaceships or operating machinery, players had to pass the corresponding certification exams, and these exams were countless times more complicated than a real-world pilot’s license.

Because of this, the game was initially criticized by many, who thought the developers were using the promise of an “open world with high freedom” as a gimmick, only to restrict gameplay with exams as an excuse, making it nothing like a so-called “second life.”

Soon after, however, someone discovered that every book in the in-game library was different. On closer inspection, the contents were coherent and substantial, not just nonsense.

So people began saying that the game’s library was actually just like a real-world library, except with more content and some fantasy elements mixed in.

At first, this discovery didn’t attract much attention. Only some students realized the game library was quieter than the dorms and better for studying, so they began importing their homework assignments into the game and answering questions there.

One day, a student’s homework involved some specialized knowledge. The student didn’t remember it, and realized he had only imported the assignment questions but not the textbook data. Too lazy to log in and out, he simply went to the in-game library to find a book and used it to solve the problem.

After finishing, he didn’t think much of it and submitted the homework as usual.

Not long after, his teacher came to him, excitedly asking how he had solved the problem.

The student was dumbfounded. He said he had just written it according to the textbook.

The teacher was even more baffled, saying he had been teaching for over ten years, had practically worn out every textbook, and there was no way a textbook could contain the solution to a problem the entire world had yet to solve.

The student froze, confusedly tried to explain, and then suddenly remembered that the book he had used wasn’t the school-issued textbook at all, but one he had borrowed from the library.

The teacher immediately wanted to drag him to the school library. Embarrassed, the student explained it wasn’t the school library—he could never get a seat there. He had done the homework in the game’s library.

The teacher grew more confused, but since he knew of the trending game, he registered with his real identity, logged into the holographic cabin, and went with the student to the library.

What he found left him stunned. His hands trembled as he held a book, and he quickly told the student to log out and fetch other teachers, while he himself sat cross-legged on the floor, devouring the book with desperate eagerness.

The bewildered student did as told.

The other teachers he called were equally confused, until one of them was handed a book. After glancing at it, his expression changed drastically. He snatched the book with both hands, eyes glued to every line.

It wasn’t just him—every teacher reacted the same way.

This didn’t stay hidden for long. Soon, the teachers’ discovery was announced to the world in a news release.

Officials confirmed that professors from a certain university had found that every book in the game’s library was meaningful, even those once dismissed as fantasy.

The news shocked the world.

Those so-called fantasy books included many on mecha construction and spaceship piloting.

Countless people rushed to the game’s library, only to be blocked by the registration threshold that had once been mocked.

This “registration threshold” meant that if you wanted to drive a hovercar in-game, you had to have the corresponding license in real life. If not, you had to take the test in-game, following the exact process as in reality.

Similarly, borrowing books required a reader’s card and a matching academic level. Without sufficient knowledge, ordinary players couldn’t even read advanced books, only the covers and indexes.

For example, advanced physics books required at least a physics qualification certificate before you could access higher-level content.

Otherwise, players had to study through all the elementary, middle, high school, and college-level materials in the game, pass the exams to prove their knowledge, and only then could they read books beyond the college level. To reach graduate or doctoral-level materials, they needed the same level of qualifications.

So anyone trying to copy content from the books and rush to register patents in real life was blocked—without knowledge, they couldn’t open the advanced texts at all.

Only true experts in their fields, with profound academic knowledge, could read those books, internalize them, and apply their knowledge to real-world advancements.

When this was revealed, the entire world went crazy.

No one laughed at the game’s “pointless hurdles” anymore, or said the spaceship licenses were pretentious.

Because all the exam questions were real. If they studied seriously, passed the tests, and obtained the licenses, they really could pilot spaceships and travel through the universe.

Even space agency experts admitted that the game’s universe was identical to the real one. By piloting spaceships in the game, they could explore space as if freed from reality, without spending enormous sums to build real spacecraft.

Thanks to this game, industries worldwide made huge leaps forward, and Si Qi harvested a great amount of world energy from that small world.

Now, recalling his experience, Si Qi thought about reusing that game system in this world.

But this time, he didn’t intend to load it with advanced knowledge for others to discover. The world he was in already had rapidly advancing technology, and didn’t need him to shortcut the process.

What he wanted was to use the method of “learning through play,” combining games with reality to drive progress.

The question was, what kind of game would be most suitable…

Countless ideas filled his mind. All of them were good, but developing them all would take time.

He decided to just pick one at random.

He had Xiu Xiu write the game program while he himself drafted the script, arranged the stages, and finally let Xiu Xiu load the script and question bank into the finished game.

When the game was done, Si Qi posted the download link on his social media, announcing that this was his math problem-solving game, and invited everyone to try it.

Many people saw the post right away. Since it was something Si Qi had made, they downloaded it out of curiosity, wanting to see what kind of game it was.

Bai Qi was one of them.

True to his name, he was the kind of person who liked to raise the white flag in the face of difficulties.

If a class was too hard, he gave up.

If homework was too hard, he gave up.

If a good school’s scores were too high, he settled for an average one, with no motivation to strive harder.

His life was like this: Buddhist-style, giving up easily when faced with challenges.

Originally, he had no interest in downloading a so-called problem-solving game—why torture himself?

But he remembered how easy learning felt when listening to Si Qi’s lessons, and he had a very good impression of him.

Besides, this app claimed to be a game. Games were supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing, weren’t they?

So despite the name, he downloaded it.

After installing, he saw a hyper-realistic video of a bruised, pitiful boy being bullied by a group, who said things so cruel no decent person could tolerate it.

Bai Qi was furious but helpless.

Then the bullies left, leaving the frail boy barely alive on the ground.

A message appeared: “You have a healing potion that can help him. Do you want to give it to him?”

Of course he would!

Without hesitation, Bai Qi clicked “yes.”

But then a question popped up on the screen. He had to solve it before giving the potion.

Bai Qi: “…”

So that’s how this works?!

Amused and exasperated, he checked the problem. It wasn’t too hard; with some effort, he solved it on paper and entered the answer.

The game confirmed it was correct, and the video showed the boy applying the potion.

Bai Qi felt a spark of excitement. For the first time, he thought problem-solving could be meaningful—the effect was immediate, unlike homework where feedback only came much later in exam scores, often leaving him unmotivated.

Even more surprising, after healing, the boy looked around with gratitude, searching for his mysterious savior.

Not seeing anyone, he timidly asked the air, “Who are you? Did you help me? Can I know your name?”

Text appeared: “Mo Ran is very grateful. Affection +10. He wants to know your name. Would you like to tell him? If so, please enter it.”

Why wouldn’t he? Bai Qi typed his name. The boy lit up with joy, realizing his savior really existed, even if unseen. He whispered Bai Qi’s name with a smile, saying, “Thank you, Bai Qi!”

His innocent, obedient expression tugged at Bai Qi’s heart, making him like the boy even more.

Then came a stomach growl. Blushing, Mo Ran shyly covered his belly.

The game prompted: “Mo Ran hasn’t eaten for three days. You have a loaf of bread. Do you want to give it to him?”

By now, Bai Qi understood the gameplay and was deeply interested. He adored this grateful little boy, and of course he wouldn’t let him go hungry.

He chose “yes” without hesitation.

And so, Bai Qi kept helping the boy, escorting him back to his ruined home.

Through solving problems, he lit an oil lamp in the night, helped the boy read his late mother’s book, and discovered it contained martial arts techniques that could protect him from his abusive relatives. Bai Qi was thrilled.

He told the boy to learn it, and the boy, trusting him completely, did so at once.

But then the bullies returned to torment him again.

Seeing the boy’s terrified expression, Bai Qi was nearly driven mad with anger.

Just then, the system offered him a “time-space compression card,” allowing the boy’s soul to train in martial arts within a consciousness space.

The duration depended on Bai Qi’s exam scores—the higher the score, the faster the boy’s growth, and the more capable he’d be of defending himself.

If the scores were low, the boy would still be weak and beaten after returning. He desperately needed Bai Qi’s help.

Already furious, Bai Qi now had the chance to help the boy escape his tormentors and maybe even defeat them. Of course he agreed.

It was just solving problems, wasn’t it? He would do it!

Rolling up his sleeves, he threw himself into the questions.

He solved one after another, with the problems growing harder each time.

When he got stuck for three minutes on one, his lazy side kicked in, and he wanted to quit.

But then he saw the boy’s bruised face and fearful eyes, along with the bullies’ hateful sneers.

Damn it! It was just a problem! How could he, a gamer, be beaten by a stupid question?!

Copy and paste directly, look up the answers online.

But after searching again and again, he couldn’t find them.

However, similar question types existed online, and the related knowledge points were written out as well.

Based on those knowledge points, Bai Qi thought it over carefully, calculated again and again on draft paper, and quickly worked out an answer.

He filled the answer into the blank space given by the system, and the system indicated the answer was correct. Bai Qi excitedly clenched his fist and shouted “yes!”, then moved on in high spirits to the next question.

In fact, after solving a question he previously couldn’t do, Bai Qi realized that so-called difficult problems weren’t difficult at all. As long as he found the method, understood the meaning of the knowledge points, and followed the formulas step by step, he could always work out the answer.

Just like that, relying purely on his unwillingness to admit defeat and the little one’s tears, Bai Qi forced himself to finish one hundred questions, completing the entire question sea stage.

Looking at the prompt on the screen, and watching the little one suddenly dodge an enemy’s attack, then flip around to pin down the person who had always led others in bullying him, punching him hard twice in the face until the beast-hearted person cried out miserably—Bai Qi’s satisfaction was beyond words, it was simply too good!

The little one managed to escape, and afterward, for the first time, his face showed a carefree smile. As if sharing a little secret, he softly said into the air, “Thank you, Bai Qi, you are my best friend.” Bai Qi was so happy he felt like flying.

He especially liked this hardworking, kind, and grateful child, treated him as his own friend, and included him within the scope of those he would protect.

The feeling of good friends improving together was wonderful. Bai Qi was especially willing to write a few problems every now and then to strengthen Mo Ran’s combat power. After all, no matter how he calculated it, he wasn’t losing anything, right? One share of effort, two shares of reward.

Mo Ran’s strength grew with Bai Qi’s progress. It was then that the clan discovered Mo Ran was practicing martial arts and had awakened a qi seed, and they demanded he enter the clan’s Martial Hall.

Bai Qi originally thought this was a good thing, but Mo Ran trembled in terror, trying again and again to refuse. However, the servant who came to inform him coldly threatened him, saying this was the duty of clan members and no one was allowed to resist.

Sensing something was wrong, Bai Qi asked the reason. Mo Ran then told him a story of old grudges.

It turned out Mo Ran had once been the legitimate eldest son of the main branch of the family. Because of certain accidents back then, all the powerful figures of the main branch died in battle. The remaining women, children, and elderly were betrayed by the second branch colluding with outsiders, their corpses piled throughout the courtyard. Only a few survivors struggled on.

The clan had a strict rule forbidding internal strife, so although everyone knew how the main branch had really perished, the second branch couldn’t openly kill Mo Ran. They could only watch as he was humiliated.

But the Martial Hall was different. It was full of the second branch’s people. There, they could justifiably use him as a punching bag every day, even beating him to death under the pretense of sparring!

Bai Qi understood the heavy hatred Mo Ran carried, as well as his fear. When Mo Ran begged him with tearful eyes, asking what he should do, the system prompted Bai Qi: once Mo clan members entered the Martial Hall, there would be a public talent test. If Mo Ran’s talent was high enough, there was a great chance a major figure from another branch would protect him.

But if Mo Ran’s talent was too poor, his fate would likely be being tormented to death.

Without hesitation, Bai Qi told Mo Ran to cultivate well. If his talent was good enough, he could seek refuge under another branch’s protection.

Mo Ran believed him, so he worked hard, not even considering whether talent could truly be changed through effort.

But Bai Qi, who actually could change Mo Ran’s talent, desperately kept grinding problems behind the scenes, gradually upgrading Mo Ran’s qi seed.

Finally, on the day before the talent test, Bai Qi raised Mo Ran’s qi seed quality to the excellent level.

That day, many clan disciples gathered there, along with figures of authority from each branch.

The second branch’s people glared venomously at Mo Ran, intent on erasing this hidden danger once and for all. Since humiliation and bullying hadn’t broken him, they would kill him in the Martial Hall!

These arrogant young heirs mocked and threatened Mo Ran, even publicly insulting his dead parents.

Seeing Mo Ran’s grief and anger, Bai Qi grew furious and secretly ground problems for several more hours, upgrading Mo Ran’s excellent talent to supreme talent!

Thus, when everyone was mocking Mo Ran, waiting to laugh at his downfall—

Mo Ran’s talent was revealed, stunning everyone present!!

The second branch’s people were enraged, shouting that it was impossible, rushing to drag Mo Ran away and demand how he did it.

But the other branches stopped them, shielding Mo Ran despite a fierce struggle, and warned the second branch not to go too far.

Looking at their ashen faces, Bai Qi was ecstatic, cheerfully telling Mo Ran not to be afraid, that he would protect him from now on.

Mo Ran’s gaze toward the screen was filled with admiration and dependence.

As the story progressed, with Bai Qi’s help, Mo Ran grew stronger and stronger, repeatedly surviving the second branch’s assassinations and slanders, becoming a dazzling presence in the clan.

He even protected the few surviving elderly and children of the main branch, rebuilding it to gain some voice in the clan.

With his growth came greater challenges and encounters with many important people.

Once, Mo Ran earned a treasure from a secret realm through his own strength, but was targeted by a great clan’s heirs. With their powerful backers, they framed Mo Ran in public with a false charge of theft, drawing endless accusations.

His clan was implicated, his clansmen captured, his close friends crippled… Bai Qi shook with anger, pounding his desk over and over.

The classmates beside him, seeing his expression, didn’t ask why. Instead, they looked equally pained and sighed: “Our little Mo is really too pitiful, Mom is so sad.”

“When I get home, I’ll grind problems too, sob sob, I’ll try to get enough points to buy Mo Mo medicine.”

“I swear tonight I’ll finish that whole problem bank, let little Ran advance to Emperor Sovereign sooner, then crush that fake prodigy in front of everyone! Let him know fakes are always fakes, stolen things will never match the true owner! I’ll make everyone regret how they treated little Ran!!”

The classroom erupted in indignation, students all outraged on behalf of their game character. The Chinese teacher walking in felt helpless.

Turning and seeing the math teacher passing by, grinning from ear to ear, the Chinese teacher couldn’t help complaining: “When will Si Qi make a Chinese version of this game?!”

He too wanted his class average score to jump by ten or twenty points at once!!

Si Qi’s game, once launched, quickly shook up half the education world.

Normally, changes in education flowed from the top down—orders from above slowly trickling down to students.

But this time it was the reverse: students generated a strong collective effect, drawing the attention of teachers, principals, even the education bureau, and soon caused a sensation beyond.

At first, teachers noticed some students’ math scores rising rapidly, able to answer many questions, even pestering them during free time with questions.

As more students did the same, teachers discovered the game.

Initially, they thought kids were childish to be so obsessed with a game.

But after trying it themselves, the next day they all came to school with dark circles under their eyes, some with swollen eyes from crying.

Now they truly understood why students were so obsessed—it was impossible to stop playing!!

Si Qi clearly had a talent for directing movies. Even simple plots were shot with deep emotion, making hearts ache. Loving that pure and gentle boy, hating the cruel environment around him—unconsciously, players immersed themselves, becoming the mysterious figure who crossed into that real world and befriended him.

Teachers, after days of grinding problems, finally cleared the game. Watching adult Mo Ran say goodbye, thanking them for years of help, and scenes of past experiences flashing by, countless memories were stirred. It felt like they had accompanied Mo Ran through a turbulent life, and now it was time to part.

As they pressed the “farewell” button and watched Mo Ran turn away, a group of grown men couldn’t help tearing up, hiding under their desks until they calmed down.

Then the class bell rang, and the teachers composed themselves and walked into the classrooms. Hearing the children inside brimming with determination, vowing to study well and learn more knowledge points to help Mo Ran defeat those bastards, the teachers smiled knowingly. Teaching became more spirited, seeing the eager eyes of their students.

After all, this too was helping Mo Ran in another world, so that he could escape his unfortunate childhood faster and head toward a bright future.
