Interstellar president (7): If he really went into the bedroom, he would definitely not be able to come out.
After Gu Juntian kissed Zhou Qinghao, he pulled him forward and said, “Qinghao, let me show you this lab.”
When he first transmigrated, he had wanted to reject Zhou Qinghao’s offer of being kept.
But after seeing Zhou Qinghao, he fell in love at first sight and followed him home. He only intended to slowly develop feelings with Zhou Qinghao, just like in the original plot.
However, things progressed far too quickly. As soon as he went home with Zhou Qinghao, he ended up sleeping with him.
Since it had come to this, then Zhou Qinghao was his!
Gu Juntian wanted to assert his claim, so he acted very close to Zhou Qinghao.
“This lab costs two million a month to rent. It looks expensive, but it’s actually quite cost-effective. Most of the basic lab equipment is already here, and the lab is really spacious. In the future, my assistant and other researchers can live here,” Gu Juntian explained. Then he added, “Qinghao, one assistant isn’t enough. Could you find a few more researchers to be my assistants?”
After speaking, Gu Juntian turned to Qin Zhao and asked, “Do you have anyone to recommend? It’s fine if they don’t have research achievements, as long as they have good character. Ideally, someone who can start this afternoon. Offer them the same salary and benefits as the Minghui lab.”
The original owner had never been to other labs, so the only one Gu Juntian knew about was Minghui’s.
Qin Zhao actually had someone in mind. “I know quite a few capable researchers. I can make you a list. Don’t worry, they all have good character.”
There were plenty of underappreciated people in this industrial park!
Qin Zhao knew several of them.
In fact, just last night, he had already contacted a researcher who was currently unemployed and planned to talk to Gu Juntian about bringing that person into the lab today.
Research can’t be done alone—he needed help.
Now that Gu Juntian asked him to recommend people, it was perfect. He could bring all the researchers he had his eye on into this lab.
When Qin Zhao found out this lab was set up by Zhou Qinghao for his little lover to play in, he felt disappointed—but only for a moment.
So what if Zhou Qinghao didn’t want to invest in him? He could still go down the path he had originally planned—finding a way to gain control of Gu Juntian’s lab.
Gu Juntian had already signed an employment contract with him, so he could access his information.
This person had just graduated from university and was only 22 years old—ridiculously young.
Young people like that have a lot of ideas, but when it comes to real research, most of them fail.
Once the lab was up and running, Gu Juntian would definitely run into all kinds of problems—and that’s when he’d step in!
So he wasn’t choosing researchers for Gu Juntian—he was choosing them for himself.
Qin Zhao took this matter seriously. After naming a few researchers who could be brought in easily, he also listed some talented ones who would need money to lure over: “These people are very talented, but if you don’t offer enough money, they definitely won’t come to our lab…”
“Qinghao…” Gu Juntian immediately looked at Zhou Qinghao.
Zhou Qinghao turned to Cao Bo. “Cao Bo, write down these names. Money is not an issue.”
Gu Juntian added, “Qinghao, I want to start preparations this afternoon and begin research the day after tomorrow. Can you quickly find a few researchers to help me? The rest must arrive at my lab within three days. If they can’t, then forget it. And the materials I requested should preferably be ready by tomorrow.”
Everyone present heard what Gu Juntian said.
Cao Bo and Qin Zhao were both speechless.
Young master, aren’t you being a bit too impulsive?
Ordinary labs take several months just to prepare, and recruiting researchers wasn’t easy either. To get this lab up and running properly would take at least a month.
Yet he actually wanted to start research the day after tomorrow.
“You’re in such a hurry?” Zhou Qinghao asked.
Gu Juntian replied, “Yes, I’m in a big hurry!”
Zhou Qinghao looked at Cao Bo. “Cao Bo, get on it right away. I’ll contact Assistant Zhang and have him help you.”
Cao Bo responded and immediately went to work.
At the same time, he couldn’t help feeling a bit helpless.
Had his wise and sharp Mr. Zhou been put under some sort of spell by Gu Juntian?
This kind of plot—lavishly spending money on a little lover—might be very much like a domineering CEO, but it didn’t match Mr. Zhou’s usual image of being profit-oriented above all else.
At this moment, though, Qin Zhao was looking at Gu Juntian with admiration.
Earlier, when Gu Juntian said he was worth a lot, Qin Zhao didn’t understand.
But now, he did.
Gu Juntian really was valuable—just look at how much money Zhou Qinghao had already spent on him!
Why couldn’t his own parents have given him better looks? If he were handsome, he could live off his face just like Gu Juntian!
Maybe he could even find himself a rich sugar mommy.
Forget it. Since he didn’t have Gu Juntian’s face, he’d just piggyback off the resources Gu Juntian had secured from Zhou Qinghao using his looks.
Still, since Gu Juntian was so useful, he’d better treat him a little nicer.
He needed to show Gu Juntian what he was capable of, let him see how amazing he was—then later, he could take Gu Juntian as his apprentice, and whenever he needed anything, he’d have Gu Juntian go ask Zhou Qinghao for it.
The more Qin Zhao thought about it, the more pleased he became. Meanwhile, Gu Juntian was still asking Zhou Qinghao for things: “Qinghao, my lab also needs a few security personnel, and we should get top-level security robots too…”
Zhou Qinghao agreed to everything, looking at Gu Juntian with gentle eyes.
Gu Juntian’s earlier kiss had greatly pleased him.
Before coming here, he had prepared himself for the possibility that Gu Juntian would hide their relationship in front of others. After all, their relationship was a bit abnormal.
But Gu Juntian hadn’t hidden it—instead, he kissed him openly and without hesitation.
He was very happy about that, so naturally, he was willing to spend money on Gu Juntian.
Seeing Zhou Qinghao like this, Gu Juntian’s heart beat faster again.
He couldn’t help kissing Zhou Qinghao a few more times, and after that, said with a hint of helplessness, “Qinghao, I can only be with you until noon. In the afternoon, I need to take Qin Zhao and start preparing for the upcoming experiments.”
“Perfect timing. I need to go to the office this afternoon anyway, so I’ll leave after lunch,” said Zhou Qinghao.
He hadn’t been to the office for two days—he should go check in.
“Right, go to the company. We’ll both work hard,” said Gu Juntian.
Zhou Qinghao smiled again.
He really liked the youthful energy and drive that Gu Juntian exuded.
Even though he didn’t believe Gu Juntian would produce any major research results, he was still willing to support him.
Thinking that, Zhou Qinghao sent the list of requests Gu Juntian had just made to Cao Bo and told him to handle them. He also sent him a red envelope.
He instructed his assistant team and secretary team—whoever was free—to help Cao Bo and even authorized them to use his name to get things done.
Being able to use Zhou Qinghao’s name made everything much easier.
Cao Bo and the others got busy. To send a few researchers to Gu Juntian that very afternoon, they didn’t even stop to eat.
Meanwhile, Gu Juntian was enjoying himself, having a big meal in a private room at a nearby restaurant with Zhou Qinghao.
Qin Zhao ate with Zhou Qinghao’s subordinates. Halfway through, he couldn’t help but sigh, “I didn’t expect Mr. Zhou to be such a romantic.”
Zhou Qinghao’s subordinates fell silent. They hadn’t expected it either.
Up until now, they had always thought Mr. Zhou didn’t understand love.
However, Mr. Zhou’s little lover was really passionate—he kissed Mr. Zhou several times right in front of them today.
Mr. Zhou specifically requested a private room for their meal. Was it because he didn’t want them to see how clingy his little lover was?
But what happened inside the private room was not quite what they had imagined.
As soon as Gu Juntian and Zhou Qinghao entered the room, Zhou Qinghao kissed Gu Juntian. Now, Gu Juntian was sitting right beside Zhou Qinghao, kissing him from time to time.
Gu Juntian kept eating while responding to Zhou Qinghao’s affection.
In front of others, Zhou Qinghao always maintained the demeanor of a composed CEO—was he just holding it all in until now?
After eating with Gu Juntian, Zhou Qinghao left. Not long after his departure, three researchers were brought to the lab.
Gu Juntian closed the materials he had been reading and said to the three researchers and Qin Zhao, “We’ll begin formal research the day after tomorrow. For now, I’ll explain my research approach and what I expect from each of you.”
Qin Zhao and the others followed Gu Juntian to the conference room, but none of them really took him seriously.
Qin Zhao even found it a bit funny.
Not long ago, Gu Juntian had been frantically reading materials that Qin Zhao already knew well. Hopefully, he wouldn’t embarrass himself now by trying to act like an expert and spout basic knowledge in front of real researchers.
That would be laughable.
Still, he’d hold it in.
Gu Juntian was aware that these four researchers didn’t respect him.
But he wasn’t afraid, nor did he care.
He was confident—he believed he could win them over.
The original owner of this body had grown up in a poor household, and as a result, was timid and overly concerned with others’ opinions. If he had to face these four researchers’ skepticism, he probably wouldn’t even be able to speak clearly.
But Gu Juntian was different.
He was full of confidence. He began by saying, “Everyone, you will work with me to be written into the textbooks and become the greatest figures of this era!”
Even though Qin Zhao and the others didn’t believe in Gu Juntian, at that moment, they were all drawn to him.
Gu Juntian remained standing as he began his speech: “Gene Collapse Syndrome is a terminal illness. Human genes are not suited to the interstellar age—they break down under the strain and eventually collapse. This process is irreversible. But humanity itself is the greatest miracle in the universe!”
“It’s very difficult to repair already damaged genes, but we can stimulate them to self-heal, to evolve!”
“If we change our thinking, an entirely new future lies ahead of us!”
…
In truth, some of what Gu Juntian said had already been thought of by others.
But his ideas were more organized, and the way he presented them made it feel achievable.
At first, Qin Zhao had been thinking about how to sideline Gu Juntian. But before long, he was captivated by Gu Juntian’s concepts.
And as Gu Juntian continued speaking, he suddenly found that more and more ideas were popping into his mind, so he kept going.
“This is my first proposal…”
“I also have another idea…”
“If none of these work, we can try something else…”
…
When he finally noticed the time, Gu Juntian concluded, “The future of humanity is in our hands. We are destined to save all of mankind!”
The four researchers were full of passion. They looked at Gu Juntian as if he were a rare treasure and broke into enthusiastic applause.
“All right, it’s getting late. I’m clocking out,” Gu Juntian said. “Qin Zhao, draft our lab’s rules and regulations. For the next month, no researchers are allowed to leave the lab, and all external communications must be approved. And the three of you, you recorded everything I said today, right? Tonight, go over it and get familiar with the work we’ll be doing.”
After giving his instructions, Gu Juntian grabbed his things and left for the day.
Qin Zhao and the others looked at each other, feeling a little thrown off.
Gu Juntian had just delivered an impassioned speech that filled them with energy and motivation…
And now he just left?
But they had so many thoughts they wanted to share—who were they supposed to talk to now?
Qin Zhao felt like he had a breath stuck in his chest that he couldn’t let out or swallow down.
After Gu Juntian left, Qin Zhao said to the other three, “This Gu Juntian—he’s either a genius or a madman.”
The three others agreed wholeheartedly and nodded.
Qin Zhao continued, “But sometimes, scientific research needs geniuses and madmen.”
Indeed, that’s exactly what research requires.
Regardless of what kind of person Gu Juntian really was, at that moment, their minds were filled with the ideas he had proposed. They were eager to follow him and do something big.
They believed they could!
The four of them got to work and contacted Cao Bo along the way, asking him to prepare some daily necessities for them—they weren’t planning to go home anymore and would be staying in the lab from now on.
They needed to maintain strict confidentiality.
Cao Bo was a little surprised. Were these researchers a bit too dedicated? The experiments hadn’t even officially started yet, and they were already planning to live in the lab?
But soon, he thought of a possible reason.
These people were recommended by Qin Zhao. Was Qin Zhao planning to hold a private meeting while Gu Juntian was away, trying to win them over?
Cao Bo felt that the lab would end up in Qin Zhao’s hands sooner or later. And Qin Zhao might actually be capable of producing results.
He quickly looked up some background on Qin Zhao and found that he was quite accomplished. He had fallen out with Minghui Lab due to differences in philosophy—and also because someone there had stolen credit for his work.
Cao Bo arranged for someone to deliver supplies to the lab, then went back to his busy schedule.
Gu Juntian really was in a hurry—Cao Bo was almost spinning like a top trying to keep up.
Thankfully, Mr. Zhou had given them plenty of money.
While everyone was busy working, Gu Juntian had already returned to Zhou Qinghao’s residence.
He got off work at five and arrived home right at 5:30.
On the way, he kept reading through research materials, but once he got home, he finally set them down.
He was about to see Zhou Qinghao again, and from that moment on, the world would be filled with color—
A beautiful golden color.
Sure enough, as soon as Gu Juntian walked through the door, Zhou Qinghao pinned him against the doorway and kissed him.
Gu Juntian wasn’t one to be easily subdued and didn’t like being the one pressed down. So he wrapped his arms around Zhou Qinghao, spun him around, and kissed him back—this time with Zhou Qinghao under him.
The butler quietly brought dish after dish to the table, pretending not to notice what Gu Juntian and Zhou Qinghao were doing.
His young master didn’t have much time left. At a moment like this, he should be able to do whatever he wanted.
Zhou Qinghao felt the same.
He was more than happy to be kissed by Gu Juntian, but after a while, he gently pushed him away and said, “Let’s eat first. After dinner, we’ll go to the bedroom?”
Gu Juntian took a deep breath.
He wanted nothing more than to go to the bedroom right now, but there was still a lot of prep work left for his research.
“Let’s do the same as yesterday. I’ll come to the bedroom at 7:30. After dinner, I want to check some things in your study.”
If he went straight to the bedroom, he knew he wouldn’t come out.
Better to head to the study first.

Thank you for the chapter 🙂
I already know Zhou Qinghao is going to be embarrassed about this once he’s cured
